About Oli Doyle

I believe that suffering is unavoidable for humans, that it’s something we just can’t avoid. I also know that there is a way out of suffering that is simpler than you think.

Hi, I’m Oli and I’m a parent, a counsellor, an author and a trauma survivor. I have been working with people since 2004 in youth support, mental health and housing, family services, family violence support and out-of-home care.

I’ve been a practitioner, a team leader and a manager and now I work with people of all ages to help them move from suffering and struggle to joy and vitality.

I especially love to sit with people who have lived through trauma, (be it domestic violence, relational trauma, narcissistic abuse or involvement with a cult) and gently untangle the threads of pain and confusion until you can breathe and see clearly once more.

In the darkest moments we all struggle to see the path forward, but by learning a few simple skills and applying them to our lives, there is a way to find peace and joy, even when life is hard. I know this because I live these skills and because they saved my life.

If you are looking for support for yourself or a loved one, there is a guide to my process (and some cool resources) available here.

If you are a parent wanting to help your child or young person, there’s a page just for you right here.

If you are a support worker looking for therapeutic support for a client, there is a guide to my process here.

And if you are a Practitioner, Manager or Team Leader in a Human Services organisation looking to explore training, facilitation, reflective supervision or case consultation, there is information (and free PD) for you here.

If you have a question and you want to cut to the chase, email oli@olidoyle.com or text 0430181746 and I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.
